Artist Statement:

My practice hybridises digital manufacturing and traditional studio practices in ceramics. By implementing the hand within digital environments I aim to provide research towards the integration of art, design, and craft. In my most recent series, Digital Calligraphy, handmade brushes are put into a CNC machine to paint on ceramic objects - even if the toolpath of the machine is the same I receive spontaneous results because of the handmade nature of the tool.
