Artist Statement:

I feel a connection to clay that I can't fully articulate. My artwork tends to take on organic forms of nature and I love the feel of otherworldly objects, fanciful images, and past times. There is something about looking at an object and feeling it has a story - a history or purpose. Each piece takes a life of its own as I sculpt the clay - as for me it is a process more than a plan. I've recently been able to reconnect with clay and finally continue where I left off and begin to explore more techniques and ideas. I feel energized and excited to see where the clay takes me next.
