Description

While the cosplay community is very accepting, there is a still an issue of confidence within the cosplayer. Often times female characters are over-sexualized and women can not meet the their body type when trying to cosplay as the character. This leads to self image and body confidence issues, causing the wearer to backout of cosplaying.I want to provide the community an alternative to costume, by creating comfortable garments they can wear at the convention and at home. With the looks I?ve created, the wearer can chose when she wants to become a dragon and when she wants to relax. Everything is made out of a comfortable material to bring a better experience of being in costume for a long day. My goal in costume design is to create better quality and design for the cosplay community.

Artist Statement:

My goal is to make garments that can help women who struggle with their own body type and body shaming within their costume community. I want to make costumes that have more conventional clothing sizes and comfortable fabrics for those long convention or event hours. By giving plus size women an alternative to manufactured costumes they will feel more confident, comfortable and powerful when they cosplay.
