Major: Metalsmithing & Jewelry
Graduation Year: 2018
Biography:
Combining her background in jewelry and an interest in small-scale agriculture, Brown designs a line of woven metal vessels for domestic goods and uses. Influenced by Shaker aesthetics and ideology, the back-to-the-land movement, and her own connection to the rituals of everyday life, each design is meant to provide mindful engagement in activities relative to food and nature. Brown’s work is simple and made to be used.
