Emma’s passion for storytelling took the form of Creative Writing during her undergraduate degree at St. Lawrence University, and since high school, she’s enjoyed photography as a creative outlet and way to explore her world. For her, film has been a fusion between the two- image and literary based storytelling – and with it, she hopes to explore communities and individual lives that are bringing about small-scale positive change in unconventional ways. During Salt, she found inspiration for her stories in the islands, artists, and music of Maine. For her final project, Emma returned to the Owen Farm in her hometown of Hopkinton New Hampshire to tell the story of the wind harp.
