Lin Snow is an artist based out of Maine. Her work often includes nature while exploring scientific subject matter; with goals to learn and teach throughout her art and process. Lin utilizes life references as often as possible, in a similar fashion as botanical artists yet includes a modern folk twist in style. She has been creating mostly in gouache this year. Lin has been busy with commission based work, illustrating for local and international clients. She has been participating in and curating exhibitions, and directing art events. She has been awarded for her art in contexts such as the Presidential Scholarship, Annalee Dolls Scholarship, The MECA Award for Most Innovative, and Most recently: Portland’s Best Themed Holiday Window. She recently attended the MECA Alumni Residency and the international Emma Collaboration in Saskatchewan.
