Hi! I'm Tyler Croteau, a senior in the Animation major at Maine College of Art. My main focus is to educate and enlighten children with fun character designs and inspiring storytelling. I mostly work in Maya for 3D modeling but also have been teaching myself Blender. I work in Animation, Concept Art, Illustration, and 3D Modeling. With my 3D modeling, I want to invite the audience to feel entwined in my worlds and designs. In the future, I would love to work for a large animation studio working on television series or feature films.
Since being able to pick up a pencil, I have been drawing and designing non-stop. I obsess displaying powerful female characters, especially mermaids. I take inspiration from all over from retro animations to modern-day CG animated films and shows.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends but also traveling. My mother has told me that she sees me in Paris smoking a cigarette with a tall glass of wine while munching on a baguette. As an artist, I also take inspiration from Fashion designers, puppets, and Pop culture.
