Biography:
Chris Stiegler (he/him) is a writer and educator living and working in Portland, Maine. As Chair of the MFA in Studio Art at Maine College of Art, Stiegler helps graduate students navigate their art world. Research areas have included art historiography, contemporary art markets, museology and institutional critique, cultural anthropology, queer theory, and the philosophy of art. Previous projects have included the Institute for American Art (2013 - present) and Town Hall Meeting (est. 2007).
