Erin Marshall is a senior fashion and textile major at the Maine College of Art. Marshall has lived in Maine all her life and grew up in a very rural part of the state. Due to this rural upbringing, much of her work is centered around workwear and the history and context that comes into its making. She works primarily in ready to wear, functional garments. Her body of work adds an aspect of fun and whimsy to a clothing genre that has been seen as mundane in the past. She hopes that through her work, we can look at and potentially reimagine an important part of clothing history and heritage. Marshall currently resides in Bath, ME with her husband and cat.
