Biography:
Joe Rosshirt graduated from the Maine College of Art with a BFA in Illustration. He is the founder of FortHouse Studios located in Portland, Maine, focusing in children’s media. As an illustrator, Rosshirt pursues contagious fun, laughter,and smiles, while passionately shaping the young at heart.
Rosshirt began his Illustration career in 2009, while attending MECA, moonlighting to develop his first iOS game Super Dust Bunny. Upon graduating, Rosshirt freelanced for many local businesses in Maine including: Woodard & Curran, MEMIC Insurance, Maine Magazine, and Stonewall Kitchen to name a few.
After completing his first children’s book in 2015, Burgles by Matt Steuer, Joe is excited to continue his focus in children’s publishing and pursue multimedia storytelling techniques.
