Pastel Zoo is an interactive 2D animation experience that blends color relationships, technical skill, and my own love of animals. The animals are realistic in their movements but the color variations and use of water color asserts them as works of art. The technical skill behind the animations is something I have cultivated over my four years at MECA. Each character has a digital skeleton that allows them to move and reflect their real life counterpart. I have always enjoyed art I can physically interact with and don?t think the art being digital has to take away from that experience. The interaction allows for people to feel more involved in learning about these animals and become a part of experiencing the art.
