Brewing Letterforms

Description

My independent project revolved around letterform design and coffee brews. Researching the origins of various coffee brews, I connected them to typographic styles throughout history. Using these styles as inspiration, I designed a series of three wordmarks each representing the physicality of the coffee brews. To accurately showcase the brewing methods, I designed a systematic series of icons to supplement the wordmarks. Furthermore, the wordmarks and respective icons were translated to banners encompassing the entire history, and breakdown design decisions.
