Silkscreen Simulator is a video game that simulates the screen printing process. Through this simulation, I am questioning the definition of print. While it may seem that printmaking is defined by a tangible product, it may be more accurate to say that it is an intangible or ethereal process. This is because it creates copies that have never had an original, making the print as much of a simulacrum as any form of digital mass media. By imitating this process in a digital space, I hope to encourage a conversation about the definition and boundaries of print.
