Description
Institute for American Art works with artists to realize project-based public engagements. Self-funded and structured away from money, Institute for American Art seeks to explore social, economic, and artistic models. Institute for American Art is not media specific, and has staged public lectures, reading rooms, a public sculpture prize, video art libraries, exhibitions, film screenings, performance art and musical performances. Institute for American Art was founded in 2013 in Portland, Maine.
