Description
Blot is a 3D animated horror game trailer. It is based around Norse mythology and takes place in a Scandinavian forest. This trailer focuses on environment design and creating an unsettling atmosphere. Much of my inspiration comes from old Norse mythological poetic tales. My fascination with Norse mythology stems from my family roots in Norway and continues to be a source of inspiration for my work. Old Norse culture has a respectful relationship with nature but is also wary of the unknown power it holds. The concepts behind this trailer work to represent this age-old relationship between people and nature.

Artist Statement:
Jessica Fel’Dotto is a 3D artist with a passion for creating environments and object clutter. Working on an expansive 3D space to tell a narrative is an exciting endeavor. A BFA graduate, majoring in Animation and Game Art, of Maine College of Art in May 2021, Jessica is entering the game art world with fresh eyes and an eagerness to learn. She has worked on 2D and 3D games modeling environments and designing 2D backgrounds. She’s a fast learner with experience in many aspects of the pipeline such as storyboarding, coding, and level design.
