On Melancholy Hill is a collection of discomfiting imagery, which perfectly captures what everyone has experienced during the pandemic. My inner being has always felt a little melancholic, and more so with the events of 2020. Creatively, I have traveled to dark places allowing me to photograph images representing the idea of the unknown and a state of in-between. By utilizing deep tones and long exposures ranging from a second up to an hour, my images evoke feelings of being lost in areas that are supposed to feel familiar.
