Description

Using monotype printing and painting to define and highlight the shape and curves of the female figure and its reflection within a rich abstracted landscape space. Accentuating the duality of our existence within nature as well as the endurance, strength, beauty, and mystery of nature and our shared existence within it.

Artist Statement:

Painting in acrylics allows me to rapidly render color, line, and shape into form. The texture of the paint adds an exciting physical experience and sculptural dimension to the process and piece. I am interested in exploring and capturing the mood or feeling of the subject as I experienced it.
