Description
Using monotype printing, painting, and embroidery to define and highlight the shape and curves of a female figure reflected in an abstracted collage-like landscape. Accentuating the duality of our existence in nature with the repeated and reflected form, as well as referencing natural cylces and the passing of time. In this passing of time, we are witness to the endurance, strength, beauty, and mystery of nature, the human form, and our shared existence.

Artist Statement:
Painting in acrylics allows me to rapidly render color, line, and shape into form. The texture of the paint adds an exciting physical experience and sculptural dimension to the process and piece. I am interested in exploring and capturing the mood or feeling of the subject as I experienced it.
