As an adolescent, I frequently moved and travelled around the world alongside my mother. With each move there was a new house in which I had to reinvent my idea of home. Every home differed greatly from the last, since different cultures hold a variety of distinct ideals in home life. The nonĀ-stop moving and exposure to these various styles of living carried on to my adult life in how I am searching for my own ideals in home life. I create illustrations of idealistic rooms and, through printmaking, impose my own personal objects in them. This work acts as a way to find my identity through my ideals.
