Through these prints I bring myself closer to my culture through research and meditation upon the stories while I print as well as reassess what has been deemed not worth knowing in history. The end result is a woven ocean that reflects on the pieces that create a culture, draws attention to the unnamed in the past, and highlights the inspirational individuals of Guam in the present. In this way I share a bit of Guam that hopefully reflects its existence as a part of the US beyond distance.
