Individualism Is

I've always been fascinated by people; more specifically, what makes us different from one another in defining ourselves as individuals. When I think of what makes an individual, I imagine someone who is considered a free spirit, a nonconformist, an original, eccentric character, a rare bird, or just something out of the ordinary. The topic of Individuality is of interest to me because I?ve always considered those closest to me to have shaped the person I?ve become. It is my belief that everyone I?ve ever met has contributed to my being. Those I?ve come in contact with have collectively built my personality, mannerisms, beliefs, and my overall existence. "Individualism Is" dissects the notion of individuality and how others define it. Through visual research I bring to light what being an individual means to those I surround myself with every day.
