Description
Gorgeous Lumberjack is a multimedia game concept that aims to mix animation and video games simultaneously. George, the protagonist of the story, is a young lumberjack who was born with incredibly beautiful eyes, so beautiful in fact, that he becomes emasculated and shunned by those around him. In a fantasy world filled with strapping woodsmen and thick beards, masculinity is deeply ingrained into the male social structure, one that George hopes to fit into for a validation of his worth. He finds no luck in assimilating himself into society, that is until he discovers his own unique gift. As a treacherous blight of dark creatures start to threaten the livelihood of the forest, George's eyes reveal themselves as glamorous weapons, so beautiful that they can purge the evil that approaches.
Culminating in an animated trailer as well as additional concepts and designs, Gorgeous Lumberjack is a project that is meant to be fun and immersive. Its aim is to make the viewer vulnerable with its strange whimsy, touching on some real world issues all while making you laugh.

Artist Statement:
As an artist, I have always had the utmost respect for those who work in the entertainment industry. Whether it is modeling every last polygon or articulating every frame of an animation, it is certainly as tough a passion as it is a career. But at its core, there is a profound essence of creativity to be shared with a massive audience.
A strong appreciation for the craft has driven me to become a creator, and I have since honed my skills in the areas that have always inspired me most: concept art, character design, and animation. My work has always been driven by strong notions of narrative and design, and I hope to achieve believable worlds and environments with evocative auras. With these abilities in my arsenal, my goal is to deliver satisfying visuals for interesting and fun new ideas.
