My current body of work explores pattern and repetition, influenced by my experience as a musician and a printmaker. I approach mark marking in a very similar way to playing percussion or string instruments. I aim to depict forms that I perceive as embodying the context of music by referencing contemporary musicians to compose abstract landscapes. I depict phenomena that does not manifest itself within the bounds of our immediate consciousness. My fascination with the unobservable stems from a strong interest in science, and a perpetuating curiosity of the invisible world. I strive to to give prominence to the slightly obscure and hidden elements, both in our immediate and unobtainable realms, to emphasize the viewer's awareness and understanding of their own position.
