Description

From scratches on the sides of monuments to the elaborate works you see on your way to work, graffiti is synonymous with our everyday lives. Spawning from the roots of graffiti in the 1990â??s Street Art has been a dominant force in the public eye, overshadowing the 30 years of predecessors whoâ??ve been putting paint on walls. When it comes to defining this post-graffiti movement apart from its roots thereâ??s a gray area. Varying definitions have only furthered the confusion and the post in post-graffiti needs to be planted. Accumulating various factors, Iâ??ve come to the conclusion that street art can simply be defined as a domesticated from a graffiti. Appropriating graffiti writers and placing them on ready made porcelain wares, I set my sights on projecting my idea to anyone involved within the realms of graffiti and street art.
