Fascinating things can occur when something is left alone. Mold grows while no one is watching and the accumulation of colors, textures, and forms that result are endlessly beautiful. It is this accumulation that informs my current body of work. Using vitreous enamel, I attempt to replicate the mold that I find most intriguing. I hope to bring others to see mold as something aesthetically stimulating and separate from what it is usually the result of - decomposition.
