Kicking the Gender Paygap

Description

The goal of my work is to bring attention to the gender inequality present in everyday life but especially in sports. I take inspiration from my everyday experiences as well as people around me and professional athletes. My current work is about the Equal Play, Equal Pay campaign going on with womenâ??s professional soccer. By putting these issues in accessible forms such as coloring books, clothing, patches and stickers, it makes the viewer engage in the subject matter and discover things that they might not have been aware of or interested in before. By using these formats I hope to bring these issues to light with a vast majority of people that may not be the usual gallery visitors.
