Description

Artist Statement:

When I explore another artist’s sketchbook it feels as if I am peering directly into their mind, where the diamonds are still uncut and raw. Because I love this feeling, I frequently collage my original sketches into my finished illustrations to carefully expose my primary thoughts and process. By deliberately combining random marks, sporadic lines and a sketchbook aesthetic with bursts of texture and color, I aim to generate spontaneous images of un-nerving chaos. Through my pen, I explore human relationships, and behaviors, as well as aspects of social structures.
