Artist Statement:
My work draws from personal experiences and focused research to explore remote environmental systems. The research I conduct takes on added significance as it underscores the need for greater ecological awareness and balance.
Biography:
Ryan received his MFA from Maine College of Art & Design and his BFA from the University of Southern Maine. He has furthered his artistic development through attending opportunities such as the SÍM residency in Reykjavik, Iceland and the Monhegan Artist Residency located on a remote island in Maine.
