Description
In this celebration of the history of photography, transcendentalism, light, and color, this body explores spontaneous arrangements of decaying plant matter exposed onto light-sensitive emulsion. These documents of the organic bits of the artistsā?? day-to-day life serve as a means for meditating on the beauty of her surroundings amid the chaos of daily life.

"[Savanna Pettengill's] photography is like captive sparks of celebration. There is an energy about her work that feels like a mystery, one that we are all somehow connected to. You can feel there is a secret you're running with her to find, or to hide it. Light in corners, shadows on the beach, out of doors in all seasons.
