Description

Holey Bible walks through a brief yet important developmental time in my childhood. I was beginning to learn the world and myself in relation. The deterioration of my physical Bible parallels the deterioration of my grasp on the world and mental health. Analyzing these stories through research of photos, but also the process of image making allows for sense to be made of the past and how it is carried into adulthood. Holey Bible is one of many attempts to archive the memories I do have before they are gone like many others. Archiving these memories through art, specifically printmaking, which is such a laborious and process based art, allows me to both mentally and physically submerge myself into these memories and the act of analyzing them. The process of creating itself almost clears the fog.
