Description

In my thesis work I utilize abstracted patterns and shapes inspired through my observations of landscape. I use colors that are commonly found in these observed landscapes to create images through monoprinting. These prints evoke an array of emotions that reflect my own memories while aspiring to evoke memories in others.

Artist Statement:

I am captivated by the aesthetic of abstraction. My current body of work focuses more on formal concepts and less on theoretical concepts. I explore color combinations with more structured line work and drawings to create a complete piece while examining composition at the same time. I concentrate on the power of color and form to create different series of works that are compositionally pleasing to the eye. All of my pieces combine abstraction with more composed drawings.
